Speakers Delivery Style
Sarah was a part of the Dinokeng Secretariat since inception and offers insight into the intriguing process of how these scenarios were derived, as well as around the impact of these on both a personal and organisational perspective. She offers anecdotes and experiences of the Dinokeng journey which bring the presentation alive for the audience.

Sarah’s style is engaging, connecting, personable and compelling which commands attention and draws the audience into the topic at hand.  The audience is drawn into the story of the Dinokeng scenarios, and into a realisation of the impact of these on all aspects of their lives.

Sarah has presented the Dinokeng Scenarios, and facilitated workshops & conversations around these to a wide range of audiences, including CEO’s around South Africa, as a part of Management courses and conferences, as a keynote speaker, as a part of themed conferences such as around sustainability, communities and companies.
Why the audience should listen to these topics
The Dinokeng scenarios offer a story of how the future of South Africa might unfold, with three scenarios at play: Walk Apart, Walk Behind and Walk Together. This offers a framework around which to understand the dynamics and emergent trends in the country.  This understanding assists organisations to plan strategically and to consider their role, as leaders, in South Africa. How the future unfolds depends on the engagement of each and every person. And the three scenarios talk not only to the story of the country, but also to the story of how a business functions, as well as to how a leader functions in their lives.

The audience engages with the thought provoking questions of how the scenarios relate to the country, their organisation and their engagement as leaders and managers. Many participants have experienced a shift in their perspective about how the nature of their engagement has affected which scenario they are on in their lives: Walk Apart, or Walk Behind, or Walk Together.  Many experience the presentation to be engaging, thought provoking and insightful on many levels. This leaves the participants with some clear choices to make about their future direction and behaviours as leaders.
What the speeches will address
The speech outlines the journey behind the Dinokeng scenarios, the rationale and compelling reasons behind the articulation of the three scenarios Walk Apart, Walk Behind and Walk Together, providing the opportunity to engage with these on a personal, organisational and country perspective.

The participants are left with clear choices as to how they might contribute to the unfolding of both desirable and less desirable futures.
What participants will learn
Participants learn about a framework, or lens, through which to view and understand the complex dynamics of South Africa, and what these might tell us about our possible futures. These are described in the scenarios Walk Apart, Walk Behind and Walk Together.

The participants also learn how these have been informed by the nature of civil society, business and leadership engagement, and how this might impact personal choices to be made to influence the future direction of the country.

These lead personal choices being made around how to engage on a personal level, organisational level and country level in order to influence the possible future trajectory in each of these spheres.
What the audience will take home
The Dinokeng scenarios as a framework to understanding the dynamics of engagement currently in South Africa, and how these might impact organisational and leadership choices.
