Understanding risk and possibilities
Brad is a health systems strategist and risk analyst. He specializes in behavioural economics using his expertise to design sustainable risk management service, solutions and systems. He combines product design and development proficiency with practical management information methodologies to manage the impact of ill health of employees and communities.

As a specialist consultant Brad combines entrepreneurial innovation with sound business principles to create sustainable health risk management solutions within competitive markets and developing countries. Brad draws on his experience in the financial and consulting, employee benefits, private health funding, medical insurance, medical scheme administration, the private hospital environment, pharmaceutical and telecommunications sectors.

During 2007/2008/2009 Brad was been part of the project team responsible for the development of the Enterprise Health Risk management programmes in Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Brad has provided health system consulting in Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Brad developed the Employee Assistance Programme toolkit for the Services Seta in South Africa. He has implemented successful project based enterprise health risk programmes in diverse organisations ranging from para statal to Private sectors including Transnet, Compass Group, Nedbank, South African Bureau of Standards, and Dimension Data.

He has developed the Health Risk Index and South African Sick Leave Index. These Indexes have been presented locally and at the European Conference on Health Economics. He is a contributing author to the South African Health Review on the role of Private and other non Governmental organisations in Primary Health.

Brad lectured on corporate wellness and executive stress management at the Gordon Institute of Business Science – University of Pretoria (2001 – 2007), project management and organisational behaviour for WITS School of Business Management (2003 – 2005) and health risk management and health economics for the University of Pretoria (2006 – 7).

Brad consulted with the Actuarial Society on South Africa (on behalf of Aon SA) in refining the SA HIV/AIDS impact models, is a Global programme sponsor for the USAID/PEPFAR HIV/AIDS programme and was a strategic consultant for the European Union HEAIDS HIV/AIDS programme for Higher Education Institutions within South Africa. Recently Brad led a team that completed a medical scheme (TPAA) compliance audit in SA for the World Bank.
